Silver Jewellery Care Guide

Each piece of Harvest Jewellery is made from solid recycled sterling silver. Sterling silver can become tarnished over time, this can be caused by contact with chemicals in the air or products we use day to day, here are simple steps you can take to keep your silver jewellery shining bright!

  • A simple way to avoid tarnishing is to wear your silver jewellery often.
  • Remove silver jewellery when applying perfumes, using cleaning chemicals or when swimming.
  • If you do see signs of tarnishing a silver polishing cloth can be used to restore shine and remove tarnish.
  • Dirt build up can dull the shine of silver, regular cleaning will stop this from happening. Gently wash your piece in a mix of warm water and dish soap, rinse well and dry immediately to avoid water marks.
  • Over time and wear silver can become scratched, especially when coming into contact with rough or hard materials. You can limit the risk of large scratches by wearing items alone, handling gently and storing pieces alone wrapped in a soft cloth or jewellery pouch.
